The Om sound is said to be the sound from which all things originate. The Om symbol is used in Buddhism at the beginning of every mantra, and it was one of the many things that came to Buddhism after originating in Hinduism. This pendant is in the shape of a star. I am unable to find the significance of a star in Buddhism, so please write me if you have information on this. This Om pendant is made from sterling silver, and there is lapis lazuli inlaid into the center of the star. There is coral in a circle shape in the middle of the lapis lazuli. The sterling silver, .925 mark is engraved on the back of the pendant. This pendant is 2 inches long and 2 inches wide and was made in Nepal.
