The Tibetan Buddhist mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum or Om Mani Peme Hung (Tibetan spelling) is lettered in gold around the outside of the wheel part of this pendant. This mantra is probably the most widely known Tibetan Buddhist mantra, and it is believed that saying Om Mani Padme Hum Invokes Chenrezig, who is the embodiment of compassion. It is believed that reading this mantra has the same effect as saying the mantra out loud, or chanting the mantra. There is a circle hook on the top of the pendant so that it can be worn on a necklace, and of course, the prayer wheel spins just like a real prayer wheel. On the bottom stick underneath the prayer wheel there is a pattern. This prayer wheel pendant is 1.10 inches long and .30 of an inch wide and was handmade in Nepal.
